The chocolate milkshake update

Thank you to all of you who suggested chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream! I plead pregnancy brain on not thinking of that one myself. Now I am on the hunt for plain chocolate sauce though. I have Nutella, but I don't think I'm ready for a hazelnut milkshake.

I'm dealing with chocolate chunks in the meantime. :-)

But, you're in Switzerland. Don't they have like chocolate-sauce fountains everywhere? I thought the Swiss lived and breathed chocolate? Isn't that where Swiss Miss comes from? Maybe take a hike in the mountains, pretend you are lost, and a St. Bernard will show up with a cask full of chocolate to save you.

Lots of chocolate, short on chocolate sauce in a jar/can/bottle. Or at least I'm not looking in the right spot. If I get adventurous, I may attempt to make my own with some bars of chocolate. I might be pushing my luck in the kitchen with that though!

Actually, I bet vanilla ice cream and nutella would be kind of amazing. Do they have cocoa powder? Would that work?

Don’t you have an engineering degree?

Lisa- Another good suggestion, thanks! I do have cocoa powder, I'll have to try that.

De Campo- Engineering does not equal culinary skills. Trust me.

They don't have just plain ol hershey's syrup? That's how I make my shakes.

I hope you can fulfill your craving soon, I know what its like to go without a craving or not to have it done right, it sucks.

I made a milkshake with some chocolate drink powder (you know, for hot chocolate or chocolate milk), and it was surprisingly good! I just added about 1/4 cup to my ice cream and milk. Hope you get your fix!
